Wesley Deitch

Front-End & Design Engineer

Summary

I design the interface, prototype it fast, and build the component systems that keep a product consistent. 3 years building production React and TypeScript apps; 5 years of UX and UI design. Open to remote front-end, design-engineer and UX-engineer roles, full-time or contract-to-hire.

Experience

  1. StrevianFounder & Principal EngineerRemoteJul 2026 to present

My own software company. I write the tickets and the engineering standard, make the rulings, design every screen, and review and merge; AI coding agents build behind that standard, then prove the build. Agents never approve their own work.

    • ChurchVue, a church software platform for acapella churches of Christ: I designed and built a church admin app, a 10-screen mobile member app and a 13-game Bible-learning app on a TypeScript, tRPC and Postgres foundation with per-church data isolation and audit logging.
    • Three accessible React design systems, 113-130 components each, with design tokens, theming, Storybook and WCAG AA contrast checks in CI, published as private npm packages and used across three product lines.
    • An engineering standard of 20 rules and 82 automated checks behind a 10-stage CI merge gate, where every check carries a permanent violation fixture proving it still fires.
  2. DwinterCo-founder, with Oscar Winters

A game studio. Eternal Quest of Legends: eternalquestoflegends.com, an 8-act interactive tutorial and card gallery with 1,100+ tests; the Gamefound campaign page across two iterations, convention handouts and campaign graphics in Figma; art direction of commissioned illustrators. Cowtastrophe: cowtastrophe.com, a browser version with a rules engine, 8 bot personalities and online rooms.

  3. InvisibleAdvanced AI Trainer to Software Intern to Software EngineerRemoteDec 2023 to Apr 2026

    • Led the agent-facing onboarding front end (assessments, opportunity matching, policy agreements, payout setup); 5,000+ agents onboarded toward a 100,000-agent goal.
    • Built the operations-manager app and the agent app on a new platform while priorities shifted by the hour, keeping the front end ready ahead of the back end (React, TanStack, FastAPI, Neo4j).
    • Built the auto-save system used by 1,000+ annotation agents.
    • Started the company's Storybook component library with accessibility testing.
    • As marketing-site dev lead, raised the SEO audit score to 100, about a 50% improvement.
  4. FreelanceWeb Developer & UX Designer2020 to 2023 and 2026

Carlisle church of Christ: a 2023 Next.js redesign with custom Bible reading plans, then a 2026 rebuild on Storyblok so staff edit content themselves (visual editor with live preview, a recurring-events calendar with a subscribable feed, moderated prayer requests), live on Netlify at carlislecofc.com. I also design the weekly bulletin.
