The work

ongoing, part-time

Eternal Quest of Legends is a story-driven tabletop game from Dwinter, the game studio I co-founded with Oscar Winters. Its site, eternalquestoflegends.com, is an 8-act interactive tutorial and card gallery with 1,100+ tests behind it.

I also designed the Gamefound campaign page across two iterations, the convention handouts and the campaign graphics in Figma, and I art-directed the commissioned illustrators.

Handcrafted, No AI.

The positioning I chose for the game

Every illustration is by a commissioned artist, credited by name on each card. Layout, type, art direction and campaign structure: mine. The handcrafted page shows the handouts as a four-up, the two Gamefound spreads and the first and second iterations of the page side by side.

Two iterations of the same page

The first Gamefound page carried fifteen section graphics. For the second I redesigned four of them and let the rest of the page breathe: a title block, one figure, room around it.

Before. The first iteration: a polygon mesh over the key art.
Top of the current Gamefound page: the title block over a starry navy field with the box on a table

After. The current page: a title block, one figure, room to breathe.

The card frame as a component

The card frame is one component with faction variants: a faction-colored border, a type and rank bar, cost and stat badges, an ability block with italic lore, and a version ID with the artist credit. Ranks 1 to 4 are progressions of the same frame. It is the same thinking as a design system, on card stock.

Followers spread: four faction-colored card frames side by side with artist credits visible on each
Illustration: Ludmila Vishnyakova, Alessia Fiorentino, Adriano Rizza and others, credited on each card. Frame, type and layout: Wesley.
Followers: four faction variants of the one frame, the artist credit printed on every card.

One template, four faction colorways

The convention handouts are one layout system, recolored per faction, each carrying its own headline and character: the Apostate Sharpshooter in brown, the Cleric of Flesh in deep red, QX-001 in navy and teal, Evergreen Grove in forest green.

Handout in the brown colorway: Fight in a war where victory is uncertain, with the Apostate Sharpshooter
